I haven't had much teaching experience, but I have worked with teenagers throughout this last year while getting my Associates of Arts degree over at Lone Star Community College. My high school choir director asked me if I would like to start helping out high school students with providing voice lessons, and of course, I said yes. I helped out three seniors in high school this last semester, and two out of the three of them are actually heading to Texas colleges to pursue a career in music. I'm super excited for these students, and wishing I could keep teaching them and inspiring them.

For beginning students, around ages 5-9, I start with easy songs, but also teach them how singing works. I like to teach technique, and help students improve in their singing. Once students have grasped the fundamentals of singing, I'll let them start looking at solo repertoire so they can practice for a recital performance. For intermediate and advanced students, I like to see what they are interested in to see how I can teach them, and be able to keep them more engaged. I like to see progress in each and every student that I get to teach, and that's all that matters.
