She received her BA from Columbia College Chicago. Fabers Piano Adventures or any variety of the Faber books with a theory book is often used so that students will have a firm foundation on how music works. For my intermediate students, I will teach them all 12 major keys and the circle of fourths and fifths and how they interplay with song writing and chord progressions. I will then teach them the chords of the scales and turn the chords into progressions and into songs. I always interview the students and set goals to know where they want to go so that all of our work is geared towards there individual success and improvement.
