I've played music for over half my life now, and guitar has shaped my life for the better in ways I've never thought possible. Throughout that time, I've taught lessons on and off for the past 7 years. Helping a student become passionate about music is the most rewarding thing I can get from teaching. I set realistic goals that help the student progress at a rate geared towards the student's own pace. Positive feedback helps instill a desire to continue working and practicing regularly. This also pushes the student to wish to learn and work on more challenging materials. Mary started her professional music career at age 11, playing pipe organ. Since 1999, Mary has released her original music on the Internet. She has been invited to perform at music festivals and conferences across the United States. After years of releasing EPs, in 2010, Mary released her first full-length CD, "Eclectic." I have played in a variety of instrumental ensembles on different instruments, from euphonium, trombone, marimba and drum-set to name a few.
