It's my goal to engage students through music they already love, and (at the same time) introduce them to new music ideas and musical concepts/challenges. I could say the best part while learning was understanding theory...that part of my learning opened up many doors for me musically. Since then, I've taught primarily clarinet students independently at Butler University in Indianapolis.
