I have students with different ages from youngest ages 5 years to seniors 85+. When I meet students for the first time, I try to learn their musical background and listen to their ability so I can find their best way to improve their abilities. I began teaching beginner piano when I was in middle school and caught the teaching bug! (My dad was a high school choir teacher for thirty-five years, so I must have caught it from him.) Now I teach violin/fiddle, voice and piano. I believe that learning classical music and sight reading are both fundamentals to begin learning any instrument.
