For beginning students, I typically start with the Suzuki Method while combining it with the Essential Elements Method. As the student learns the fundamentals I gradually add scales and exercises to further develop the student's technique. After further progress, I begin to introduce solo repertoire and add other pieces. I suggest each students sits with the instrument at least 3 days a week, not including lesson day. I give you fun and easy warm ups to explore how to use the instrument. Hi There! I am a 2007 graduate of New School University's Jazz and Contemporary Music program with a BFA in Jazz Vocal Performance. I am also a professionally-trained pianist. I am trained in both classical and jazz vocal techniques and would also be happy to instruct students in general performance/presentation skills.
