In 2017, I graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a degree in Music, concentration in Classical Voice. From there Ive been working on my masters at the University of Bridgeport in Music Education. I will obtain that degree in December of 2019. I am a native of Long Island, New York, and have been trained in classical voice since I was eight years old and classical violin since I was three years old, working with world renowned artists. My most recent performances include Amy in Little Women with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival coached by the composer himself, Mark Adamo, and Cunegonde in selections from Candide with Carnegie Mellon University Opera. I was commissioned this past May to premiere the role of Idealized Martha in Trapped in a Mind with a Friend of Mine, a newly composed opera by Andrew Dewey. Read More

Every lesson begins with vocal warm ups and breathing exercises, the importance of which can't be understated. Just as athletes wouldn't take the field without stretching, singers should never sing without giving their voice time to warm up. Warming up also serves as an excellent way for Jon to gauge student progress and make sure they are vocally healthy. After warm-ups, we move on to song study.
