I have studied at Oberlin Conservatory and Rutgers State University and studied with some of the best teachers. I studied jazz trumpet for my bachelor's and Masters degrees. I moved to NYC in 2009 and have performed with artists such as Roy Hargrove, Kim Burrell, Geri Allen and Wallace Toney. I taught at the community outreach program at Rutgers State University and have been a teacher with Musika for 10 years. I usually don't believe in rules. I never really followed the rules as a musician and just played how I felt because of my gift. I make music sound more colorful and bright and I can add any instrument to music and make it sound good. Technically, I would just teach beginners how to play whatever instrument they want to learn. For example, if you want to learn how to play the piano, I will sit down with you the first day and we will go over how to play the piano and you will automatically be playing notes and chords after the first session.
