Middlesex flute students will have the opportunity to take their flute lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers' studios. Careful attention is placed on each flute student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our Middlesex flute teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the flute lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind. Each student will have the opportunity to perform in one of our recitals no matter what level the student. All aspects of music will be taught, including reading, rhythm, sound development and flute repertoire so that the student becomes a complete musician. Wherever the student's musical interests lie, Musika has a flute instructor to help the student realize his or her greatest musical ambitions!
Students taking flute lessons in Middlesex will have the chance to share their new found skills and material with family and friends at one of our various recital locations. Performing for a live audience enhances the flute student's excitement and joy of playing. Performers include a wide range of Musika's Middlesex flute students from beginners to advanced. The flute is the oldest of the woodwinds dating back 800 years in Western Europe and North America. The flute's earliest probable history dates back to approximately 900 B.C. By the 17th and 18th centuries, the flute became a standard classical instrument through such composers as Vivaldi, Mozart, Brahms, and other famous composers of that era. The flute came into its modern appearance by the 1900s and has continued to be a part of the modern classical repertoire. As well as being a mainstream classical instrument, the flute has found its place in modern western music styles such as jazz, rock, pop and blues.
Through Musika's flute lessons you will learn technique, sound production, reading, rhythm and theory. You will learn the tradition of the flute as well as the more modern genres.
