I became a licensed music teacher in late 2013/early 2014 after graduating from college. I then taught at several part time and temporary music positions before working full time. I have been in many shows, such as Into the Woods (Cinderella's Prince), Brundebar (the baker), HMS Pinafore (Captain Cochran), and Gatsby (Nick Carraway). In addition, I have performed in the pit for the musicals Once Upon a Mattress, Fiddler on the Roof, Anything Goes, Oklahoma, and Beauty and the Beast. I have also worked closely with many composers and has premiered new works by Nolan Stolz, Masatora Goya, Sean Pallatroni, Brendon Randall-Myers, and made the world premiere recording of the Delian Suite, from a body of international composers in the Delian Society. Every child has their own way of learning. Some are visual, others aural, verbal or kinesthetic. As a teacher I will adapt my lessons to each child needs. The basic structure of the lesson is review/present the new concept, apply it and at the end of the lesson discuss the new given homework for the following lesson. I will go to the student pace. In college I had the opportunity to direct and teach a community flute choir for adults. Currently I teach private and group lessons to high school students through the Boston Public Public School District.
