Overview:
I am a passionate and highly energized teacher. I graduated from Rhode Island College in 2010, and since then my life in music has taken me to numerous places. I did a tour in Austria and the Czech Republic, I have had the opportunity to take private lessons/master classes with some of the worlds best, and I get to share my love and knowledge of music with my students. 
EXPERIENCE
I began teaching before I graduated from high school thanks to a tutoring program at the high school. I had so much fun working with the elementary school kids that I decided to build a studio up of my own and ever since i have been working with a number of students ages ranging from 4-80. My students are individually pushed to reach goals that they make for themselves at the start of lessons no matter what that goal might be and I love being able to make a fun journey to that goal. All of my students are highly encouraged to perform in recitals and audtion for local ensembles and competitions. 
METHODS USED
For beginner piano students I generally work out the Faber Piano Adventures and for adults I use The Older Beginner Piano Course by Bastien.  For Flute students I use the Trevor Wye Beginners Book for the Flute. Clarinet I use the Rubank Method books. Once the essentials are learned I will add in various solo pieces and other method books pending on each student and their music interests.
LESSON STYLE
In each lesson the student and myself work to make goals for them to accomplish every week and discuss discuss the ways they might be able to go about accomplishing the goals. Sometimes I will make audio recordings of a student to track progress. For a student to sit and really listen to the improvemnets they have made I find to be one of my best teaching tools. To see a student smile over their happiness over music and their continuous progress and enjoyment makes me love what I do so very much.
