Liz started playing the flute at the age of six. At a very early age she started formal musical training in her native home town of San Juan Puerto Rico and quickly developed great appreciation for music and arts. She was accepted in an arts specialized school where she was constantly exposed to private lessons, large ensembles and chamber music. Upon finishing this program, she was accepted in the Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico where she earned her Bachelors Degree in flute performance. Read More

As a flutist trained with teachers in jazz, classical, and pop, I am experienced playing and teaching many styles including classical, opera, swing, pop, and musicals. In addition to seeing music through each individual student's eyes, I foster a sense of community by encouraging communication, coordinating chamber music and performing recitals, and providing other means of continued learning. I make myself available via email and phone, always doing everything I can to continue the students' engagement outside of their lesson.
