I began playing the flute when I was in the fourth grade. What started as "the flute is pretty" has turned into a life long passion for music. I became a licensed music teacher in late 2013/early 2014 after graduating from college. I then taught at several part time and temporary music positions before working full time. In addition, I have performed in the pit for the musicals Once Upon a Mattress, Fiddler on the Roof, Anything Goes, Oklahoma, and Beauty and the Beast. I have also worked closely with many composers and has premiered new works by Nolan Stolz, Masatora Goya, Sean Pallatroni, Brendon Randall-Myers, and made the world premiere recording of the Delian Suite, from a body of international composers in the Delian Society. My passion for teaching began in my Junior year of high school in 2011-2012, when I spent 6 months teaching guitar lessons to elementary school students at a local YMCA after-school program. With a class size of approximately 10-15 students, I learned many valuable teaching methods for students of all backgrounds and learning methods. Later that year, I said goodbye to my students to move to Boston and attend Berklee College of Music, however, in summer of 2014, I revived my passion for teaching when I started a saxophone lesson program at Brighton's All 'Bout Christ church.
