After years of training, she later moved to the United States to pursue her passion at the University of Utah under the guidance of Professor Caitlyn Valovick Moore (Piccolo Player in the Utah Symphony) and Lisa Byrnes (Associate Principal Flute in the Utah Symphony) on the Matthews Music Scholarship and the Gochnour Flute Scholarship. I began playing the flute when I was in the fourth grade. What started as "the flute is pretty" has turned into a life long passion for music. I became a licensed music teacher in late 2013/early 2014 after graduating from college. I then taught at several part time and temporary music positions before working full time. I began teaching private lessons in 2005, and I have a variety of teaching experiences. I have since substitute taught every kind of subject, and I've taught general music K-5.  I have mentored conservatory level students when I was in grad school, I taught flute to non-flute music education majors, and I've taught undergraduate students that were pre-music.  I taught 3-8 year olds music at Laurel Hill Summer Camp in East Setauket, Long Island. I've also taught workshops on South American Folk Music with Alturs Duo, as well as flute masterclasses.
