Instruments: Piano Organ

I received my formal training in music at the University of New Hampshire, having earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Theory and Composition and a Master of Science degree in Music Education. Most of my career in music education was spent in the classroom. I was very passionate about discovering and meeting the needs of my students, always striving to teach the whole person. I considered myself a talent scout, never missing an opportunity to encourage any glimmer of talent at the piano that I saw waiting to blossom. Read More

Im an easygoing yet disciplined teacher, and there is nothing I love more than the learning process. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar Performance and Music Business. I have cut my teeth performing in wedding bands, event groups, and supporting myself as an independent artist. Real life experience has been my greatest teacher; having had the opppurtunity to discover music with my peers, and instructors has been a huge part of my success. Read More

Instruments: Saxophone Clarinet Keyboard

Nothing is more rewarding to me that seeing a student make steady progress in their lessons and feel proud of themselves in what they have accomplished! I will tailor my lessons to what the student wants to ultimately take away from the lessons, and then I will help them achieve that goal at a pace that is suitable for them and encourages healthy, sustainable growth towards their desired outcome. After determining what the student wants to achieve musically, I will set weekly, realistic goals for the student to meet and to feel accomplished every week by the end of their lesson! Read More

Instruments: Violin Viola

Although I do not teach Suzuki method, I do like to use the Suzuki method books as a resource for teaching younger students. The first piece my school-aged students learn will always be one that they know the tune to already: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, for example. Once students are comfortable in holding and using the violin, I introduce a little bit of note reading at each lesson. For adult students, understanding of the instrument will come much faster, so I love getting my students to play music with which they can focus on making a beatiful sound while still learning the fundamentals. Instruments: Piano Voice

I've started teaching way back before I got into Berklee College of Music, when I was already teaching my younger brother who was 4-5 at that time. Then when I started teaching was about 4 years ago. I never realized how much both the teacher and the student could learn at the same time, not only I learnt how to teach people better, but I also kind of learnt music in different ways by teaching it in different ways to different students.
