With 15 years of guitar playing experience, it is one of my greatest joys to impart my knowledge onto others and watch/support them as they grow along their own musical journey. I graduated from Keene State College in 2018, earning a degree in music composition with a focus in guitar. I am proficient in electric, acoustic, and classical guitar and I am fluent in a variety of musical styles, such as Rock/Metal, Blues, Bluegrass/Country/folk, Classical, and Jazz. Read More

I do not use any particular "methods" of teaching, although I did begin out on Suzuki. And while I do believe this is an important methodogy, Suzuki does have its flaws as do most of its kind. As I mentioned earlier, theory, harmony, and music history (as rudimentary as they may be at the beginning) are crucial for all students regardless of their level. The more one knows about the piece, the easier it will be to interpret and understand what the composer is asking for. Read More

I have been teaching a total of 5 years. I currently have a studio of students online now and I am looking to expand my experience teaching. I was excited to complete my graduate thesis in December 2021, Music for Creative Learning. It proposes a specific teaching pedagogy that is meant to stimulate cognitive development, foster creativity, and develop global civics. More importantly it uses music as an interconnective force for creative learning and cultural immersion in education. Read More

I think there is no better way to connect with people than through music. I am very dedicated to my students, and to making their musical experience positive and impactful to every other area of their lives. I began teaching at age 12 as part of my school's music program, and have continued ever since. As an undergraduate, I began teaching all ages and all levels. I've taught in a variety of locations and settings, both large and small. Read More

Instruments: Guitar Drums Bass Guitar
I have been playing guitar for nearly 20 years. Over those years I have played many different styles, playing different instruments in different bands, from open mics to big venues all over the country. I love playing music and love helping others discover their love as well. One note worthy teaching gig I’ve had was working for a company in Nassau County, NY teaching guitar and music theory to developmentally challenged adults in a day program. There is no musician I will turn away; my focus is guitar, but I have many instruments and can introduce the basics for many such as drums, violin, viola, cello, piano, bass guitar, as well as composition and arrangement. I have worked with many bands, ensembles, and chamber groups, and would love the opportunity to help you achieve your musical goals. Whatever your musical interests, I'll help you get to where you want to go. Read More
Instruments: Piano Guitar
I always work with a method book, and have a range of fun books to choose from from beginner to advanced for guitar and piano. I use a separate sheet of paper as a log of each day's lesson at the end to show what we worked on, what to practice, and other notes or positive remarks ( ‘great job’, etc.) With older students I encourage exploring your own musical tastes and learning from the artists you like.
