I suggest repertoire based on a student's previous experience, if any, or relate repertoire to their life experience, if appropriate. For beginning students who are children, I often use the Andrew Scott Method for flute. When the student is considerably advance I will use the Rubank Book for flute begginers. Once the student is at a comfortable level, I will proceed to introduce him to Body Mapping.
