My methodological procedures are determined solely on the level of the student and their performance ability. Oftentimes I tailor lessons that ive created in my past to create lesson plans for individual students. I oftentimes use action research methods in helping me determine whether or not the teaching method that is being used in the lesson is effective for the student receiving lessons. For beginning students I have worked with Hal Leonard and Bastein.  Solo repetoire and Theory books may become part of their lessons as they progress. For advanced and adults, I have a beginner level or an advanced level. I try to find what they are interested in and allow advanced students to make one choice on their own and I may choose something for them to be challenged... I also begin ear training, chords, and solo repertoire as the student becomes ready. For voice students, I begin with breathing, vocal technique, and skill-level appropriate songs.
