I create a hands on curriculum based on the students musical proficiency. Alongside this structured lesson plan, every student will receive training on proper practicing techniques which help build their sense of guidance, responsibility, and structure. Students will also receive training for embouchure and tone development as well as warm up etudes that cater to the students skill level. We begin in my Group Vocal Clinic space learning the fundamentals of vocal technique. Every session, we review a technique and go over warm up activities the students will be tasked to practice throughout the week. Once we finish the lesson, each student is given the opportunity to sing a song of their choice and receive specific feedback. I have taught voice lessons to college students with varying performance backgrounds! I constantly strive to provide my students with a safe space so that learning can be as easy and fun as possible. With many friends involved already, I changed over to chorus, and my music education really took off.
