I tailor a student's curriculum to their musical goals and needs, while making sure that I am instilling the fundamentals needed for pursuing music at the college scholarship level. Often this means scales, chords, arpeggios, music literacy, performance practice and listening skills. To accomplish this, I use standard materials that are often available online and are used by college and University music programs around the world. I encourage students to practice consistently, and to also enjoy learning. I teach various styles and most of my experience is with beginners to intermediate students. I began teaching at Derby Yamaha Music School, UK, coaching classes and private lessons for voice and piano. After leaving England, I began teaching at Pladd Dot Music, Statesboro. Here, I taught many students both voice and piano. Two in particular required coaching in their respective pageant and regional championship.
