Alongside being an artist, teaching has been a great part of my life.  In addition to my artistic career,  I have had the privilege of having a  dynamic educational career!  My first teaching job dates back to 13 years ago.  Since then, my career has branched out into many facets of the field, both as a classroom teacher and as a private instructor.  I have had the opportunities to work with students of all ages, both in the academic and musical settings.  My current educational stint is that of a special educator who works with children with Autism.  In either setting, it is my goal as a teacher to get the student excited about learning the basics and then building the skills, so that he/she may perform to his/her fullest potential.  Read More

An emphasis on my part is exposing the student to material of the highest quality. This will often mean the exposure to some of the simpler classical pieces written by the great composers fairly early in their musical journey. I began teaching voice lessons in 1995 while living in Los Angeles, CA. I worked with many production and management companies developing unsigned and signed artists. I started teaching one-on-one so the students could get the results for strengthening their voice. As I always say "Singing is Breathing" so the first exercise I teach is proper diaphragmatic breathing to increase vocal range. My students will enjoy their lessons, especially if they are taking the time outside of the class to practice and hone in on their skills. My main attitude is that this should be a time away from traditional school or work, where a student can relax, have a good time and learn new techniques and nuances of music performance and theory.  I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement. I have taught private lessons for years and while in college I served in a 82 plus concert collegiate choir as the President, Vice President, Soprano Section leader and assistant Section leader. I am classically trained, as well as have experience in singing different languages.
