As a teacher, I like to focus on each students needs as becoming a well rounded musician.  I like to work from a few method books including Arbans, Rubank, and Schlossberg for building up your embouchere as a trumpet player.  We will focus in on technique, embouchere building, jazz improvisation, and music theory. After his passing. I continued taking lessons from my uncle, my grandfather’s son as well as taking lessons with local Music stores. But my grandfathers teaching technique was a little different than other teachers. Before I was able to touch the trumpet, he sat me down and taught me Music Theory with a method called the Solfege, Also called Solfeggio, this method enabled me to understand what I was playing before touching the instrument. Hello and welcome, my name is Evan, and I am so happy that you chose to look at my profile. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Syracuse University in 1998. I minored in the Music Industry and performed with the Marching Band, Basketball Pep Band, co-founded a lacrosse band, and became a Brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Band Fraternity. I received both a Masters and a Law Degree from Syracuse in 2002, but never stopped playing, and have been given the nickname of "The Human Jukebox" since I can recognize and perform nearly any song I have ever heard.
