My love for teaching began as a peer tutor in college. I tutored students in piano, guitar, bass ear training, and music theory. I began to love teaching when I noticed the change and progress it creates within people. While in college, I taught at a musical theatre camp as a music teacher. I taught music theory, ear training, and vocal music. Right after I graduated college I was accepted into the music education program at Teachers College Columbia University where I received my masters degree in music education along with certification in New York state to teach Pre-K through 12. After graduating from college I joined the Peace Corps. I spent 2 years in Tehran, Iran playing in the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. I returned to the U.S. and went back to school to get my Masters degree. I worked as a music teacher in the Bronx, N.Y. for several years. After that I worked at an electronic music studio in Hawthorne, N.Y. I have also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Harvard Music Department.
