The main takeaway I want my students to walk away with after our lessons is that they enjoy playing the violin. I believe that encouragement and patience are huge parts of music education. However, I also like to push my students to take challenges and reach their highest potential. For my students that have this foundation built, I teach using the Major Method. In addition to those voice lessons, I was also president of my college a cappella group, in which I would get the opportunity to fill in for our music director and run rehearsals. I almost always have taught lessons at my own studio where students come to me because that always seems to be the most conducive environment for learning and getting inspired.
