Once I began student teaching on Long Island, I began building a small studio of flute students. I then moved to NYC where I taught in the NYC public school system for 9 years teaching 6-12 grade. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I am a performing violinist, however I am most passionate about teaching and also playing chamber music. I began my musical studies playing the piano at age 7 and the violin at age 9. As a youth, I served as concertmaster of the South Bay Youth Symphony, Azusa Pacific Symphony Orchestra and Texas Christian University Symphony Orchestra.
