I am a multi-instumentalist/performer/teacher who loves working with students of all ages and musical backgrounds. My specialty is classical music, but I am also a singer/songwriter! I have a masters degree in Oboe Performance from the prestigious CCM, at the University of Cincinnati. I live as a freelance oboist, pianist, and vocalist in New York City, and am currently recording my first full length album. I have categories of students, from children who are trying to function in a band setting, to children who are trying to develop a musical or compositional talent. I make sure my students have a strong foundation, which means I start with classical training. I work on the basics such as posture, articulation, breath-support, vowel shapes, and rhythm. Once they have a strong basis, I move to modern and musical theatre if they desire it.
