Practicing every day for at least 30 minutes is a must not only from the book but by just playing long tones, playing major scales which I will also go over and possibly some songs to keep the student interested in his instrument. For nearly all of my students, I start with Arban's Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet so that I can truly understand the students level of understanding of music and also get a grasp of their playing technique. From there, I will branch out to find something that suits both the students ability as well as their interests. In 2015, I graduated from The Juilliard School with my Bachelor of Music degree, and went on to obtain two Master of Music degrees from The Yale School of Music.
