Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Originally from Stratford Connecticut, Samantha is a cross-genre vocalist, harpist and music educator. She began by singing in a choral setting from a young age and went on to train both in jazz and classical music Her past studies include a Bachelor of Science in music education (K-12 Certification) from Western Connecticut State University. After earning her degree, Samantha traveled to Austria with The Frost School of Music. Technique as well as theory are equally important. It is also important to have fun while learning. I like to use the Hal Leonard lesson books combined with excersises that I have created. I can also teach songs requested by students and explain and demonstrate how theory and technique apply to the tune. I always introduce my students, no matter the age, to the Vaccai Vocal Methods book. This book has many exercises that takes the singer through all of the facets of their voice, and helps them hone their skills.
