I am a passionate flutist that loves teaching flute privately in addition to performing. In May of 2022, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Hartt School of Music with a BM in Flute Performance. While I was there, I studied with Janet Arms, flutist of New York City Opera. I have also extensively studied with Dr. Barbara Hopkins, Assistant Principal of The Hartford Symphony Orchestra. I focus on the individual more than anything else. I tailor my teaching style to each student.  When something clicks for them, I stick with it and adapt to keep the student engaged, interested, and passionate about music.  If I find a student is not fond of a certain book or solo, we change course together. I meet each student where they are, whether they’re preparing for an audition, performing live, writing their own songs, or singing just for fun. I believe lessons should feel supportive and motivating, with the right mix of structure and creativity. I set realistic goals that keep students progressing steadily and celebrate each breakthrough, no matter how small. For beginning and young students, I like the simplicity and clarity of the Alfred Piano Methods, which include a lesson, a "solo" piece highlighting the lesson and a fun, written theory exercise. I have a treasure trove of familiar classical pieces which I can transcribe to fit different levels. I also like the Hal Leonard Essential Elements series for their witty little tunes. I always come with crayons and paper, flashcards, games and other motivators to keep the lesson fun. Read More

I have been teaching violin since my undergraduate days at The University of Connecticut, in their celebrated Suzuki Pedagogi program. From there on to the Hartt School and ever since, with a private studio in my home for 20 years and instructing and designing string programs in the Greater Hartford Area including the Hatford Public School System and Hartford Conservatory also within the East Hartford and Glastonbury school systems. He then introduced me to bass-baritone Franco Bertacci. He studied with famous operatic singers such as Franco Corelli and Thomas LoMonaco. From there, he began to train singers, eventually teaching me. I began to study his technique, as well as continue my study in college. I enrolled in Westminster Choir College in 2012 and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Music Degree. During my time in Westminster, I sang in different choirs and had the opportunity to perform with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra. Read More
