I am passionate about music and enjoy sharing that passion with others. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy and minor in Psychology. My main music philosophy is to teach sound before sight: teach students to hear the music, and then read the notation. For beginners, I want them to become well acquainted with their instrument so I begin with the basic fundamentals, and then teach some traditional tunes before moving on to reading music. For beginning students who are children, I would like to start with Hal Leonard's All-In-One Piano Lessons or Alfred's Premier Piano Course. For adults, the Hal Leonard's Adult Piano Method is a good book to start with. For intermediate and advanced students, I will figure out the appropriate method books for them at the first time we meet. I like to encourage my students, help and motivate them enjoy the lesson.
