Instruments: Trumpet Trombone Euphonium French Horn Tuba
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my students develop a passion for the trumpet and music. Therefore, it is very important to me that I make the lessons both fun and productive for the students. I will gear my teaching style to whatever works best for the individual student. If the student wants to be pushed hard then I can do that or if they just want to have fun and play music, I am fine with that too. Read More
Instruments: Guitar Bass Guitar Banjo
I've been teaching people guitar since I was a teenager. I taught several of my friends how to play guitar or to play certain songs. Later, I began to teach from my home and eventually was offered a job in a music store. I've given thousands of lessons since I began teaching. I think it's important to teach students songs as quickly as possible while introducing some fundamentals like counting and giving them a number of different strumming patterns to work with. I have over ten years of experience playing the guitar, drums, and bass playing all kinds of genres of music. My live performance experience includes playing with an instrumental band for house events for one year (drums). A rock band performing all around northern Indiana for three years(drums). Youth group worship for two years (guitar), High school chapel worship 2 years (bass). I also have done recording studio work while playing throughout the years. Read More
Instruments: Saxophone
I graduated college in the Spring of 2020 and then proceeded to get a temporary teaching job as a orchestra director in Pike Township for the first half of the year. This was followed by an elementary teaching position in the same township. I then took a step back to focus on my playing. I am now teaching private lessons and part time saxophone a Pendleton Heights Middle School. Still in search of a full time teaching position but this is something I have always wanted to pursue. Instruments: Piano Voice Saxophone Flute Organ
I began teaching shortly after graduating from college, not expecting that teaching would be something I'd be too keen about. However, it has really grown on me and I love the gift of giving music to prospective students and watching them grow and learn as I once did. I have been teaching at various locations/businesses throughout the NJ area from as south as Swedesboro to as north as Trenton. Read More
Instruments: Piano Guitar Voice Trombone Saxophone Flute Clarinet Oboe
I began teaching back in my sophomore year of high school when one of my friends wanted to learn how to play the piano. I gave them half hour lessons once a week and tailored my teaching to fit what techniques they wanted to learn. After that, I began branching out and teaching other friends, and eventually found myself helping out the middle school bands during my study hall. Now that I am in college, my own playing has improved and I have found new ways to connect and teach students whether that be in person, or by using technology such as skype. Read More
Instruments: Viola
For students that are children or just beginning I start with establishing foundations in music structure and rhythm. The Suzuki school of teaching is often used but not always. Intermediate students are flexible with where the lesson plan is headed while each lesson is tailored to the individual student's learning style. Intermediate students are coached on form, music theory, and musicality. Advanced students are even more flexible with lesson style depending on individual goals followed up with coaching on musicality and performance presence. Read More
