I love having conversation with students to get to know them and find ways the music can relate to them. It also helps me make my teaching more relatable to them. For adults, the Hal Leonard's Adult Piano Method is a good book to start with. For intermediate and advanced students, I will figure out the appropriate method books for them at the first time we meet. I like to encourage my students, help and motivate them enjoy the lesson.
