My Teaching style is both focused and laid back. While this may sound like complete opposites from each other and wouldn't work well together, it actually does work very well. I focus a lot on figuring out what the student really wants to learn and what will keep them motivated. I'll instill the importance of consistent practice and working hard to achieve their goals but at the same time it all still needs to be fun! Read More

The challenge comes into play with the fact the fundamentals can get tedious and boring! It is my duty to share creativity and fun ways of practicing the basics so my students can grow while enjoying what they are doing! Read More

I cater my lessons according to the students experience level. For beginners, I teach them a few chords, exercises and get them playing their favorite songs fairly quickly. This helps build some positive steps and motivates the student to keep playing. For more experienced students, I use the Berkley Guitar Method, teaching them chords, scales and simple songs which puts the theory into practice. I also teach students to read music, which helps them understand music theory and song structure. Read More
