I have been teaching over 30 years privately and also at different institutions. Currently I am a piano faculty at the Hartt school of music in the University of Hartford. I have been teaching from young students to seasoned adults and chamber music coaching. I have been teaching for 5 years, ever since of friend of mine asked for some lessons to help him get back to singing. I loved the direct connection to this very personal aspect of peoples' lives, and I felt humbled by the trust I was given. I do not believe in setting "practice times" as I find that can create very unhealthy practice habits physically and emotionally. My goal as a teacher is to instill a passion for music and encourage each student to become their personal best. I find that it is important to get to know each student's goals so that we can work towards them as a team. I am constantly pushing my students forward, but I make sure to take the time and remind them where they came from.
