In voice, I let my students' goals guide their lessons. Whether it be stage performance, studio recording or personal satisfaction, I will use a variety of techniques to help them reach their individual goals. In violin and viola, I teach the Suzuki method combined with some contemporary and fun improvisation. I teach theory, but also how to communicate with musicians in general. For beginning students, I typically use one method book and one book of simple melodies.  My preferred method book is the Rubank series. The method book teaches the basics, while the melodies and songs keep things fresh and interesting for the student so they want to continue.  For advanced students, I find significant, staple pieces that any advanced musician should have in their repertoire.  This keeps the student engaged, and prepares them for anything down the road in their musical careers. She has performed for some of the most well known ensembles such as the American Quartet, St. Lawrence Quartet and Dover Quartet. From 2018-2019, she was a recording violinist for film and TV composer John Delvento, where she recorded for National Geographic and the Super Bowl. She has also performed with many orchestras, including Curtis Symphony Orchestra, Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and Ottawa Symphony Orchestra and is an active performer for professional training orchestra Symphony in C located in Camden, NJ. Above all, ensuring that the student enjoys what he or she is learning is paramount to me. I try to instill in every student the beauty and joy of playing the piano, and carry an appreciation of it throughout their life. I began piano when I was 6, and have never stopped performing. I've always been a passionate and curious musician, ever since I picked up a flute in fourth grade. I have been dedicated to both flute and percussion ever since then, and continue to learn and play at Sarah Lawrence College. I am currently focusing on playing in pit bands for musicals, as they are my favorite performance setting.
