I love to perform and I love to teach! As a performer, I am comfortable in opera, musical theater, recital, and concert settings. I have had the pleasure of performing with organizations like Opera Piccola, San Antonio Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Austin, the Theater Company of Fort Lee, Capitol Opera Richmond, and Classical Revolution RVA. I received my Master of Music in Voice Performance from Texas State University in 2014 and my Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2011. Read More

I've been teaching since graduating high school part but I've been teaching consistently for the last 5 years since graduating college. I am always exploring different genres, techniques, and ideas of what music is, which has made me a good all around musician. I am a big fan of making things fun because music to me is fun to play. If the student is not having fun then I am not doing my job correctly. There does however need to be consistent practice in order for someone to progress with the instrument. Read More

I have a very creative teaching style. My emphasis is on student-centered learning. Learning should not solely be myself giving instruction and the students listening. In order for students to grow, discovery on their part needs to happen through guided questioning. The more this happens, the more that students are inclined to make their own discoveries and become their own teachers/motivators for improvement. I am also a firm believer in having the student explore who their musical heroes are. Read More

I grew up in Los Angeles and later relocated to the east coast to pursue my music degree. I live in Amherst, Massachusetts where I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced vocal students via Facetime and Zoom as well as in person lessons in various locations. In my free time I love to travel. I have often traveled to perform in places such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House, and Carnegie Hall, but I also enjoy getting lost across the world just for fun! Read More

I create custom lesson plans for each student based on their goals, experience level, learning style, and musical interests. A typical voice lesson includes vocal warmups, ear training, style exploration, and repertoire work. I draw from vocal anatomy, healthy technique practices, and real-world performing experience to build strong, versatile singers. For piano students, I introduce music theory, rhythm, and note-reading in a clear and creative way that emphasizes musicality and confidence. Read More

I have been teaching voice for 30+ years, from classical to broadway, and all forms of contemporary. I began teaching traveling to people's homes, and was so fortunate to have many requests and so created a home studio. I was asked to also teach in several towns. I loved and still love teaching and the students themselves. I want the lessons to be a fun and exciting process. I want them to learn. Read More
