We will improve the clarity of tone, solidity of vocal production, breath support and control, and many other vocal techniques. Trombone: Tone, clarity, accuracy of pitch, and good sight reading is essential for trombone students.  We work on building a strong embouchure, consistent breath support and control, excellent posture, and how to read not only notes but rhythms accurately and with flare. I love to have fun in my lessons. No single student understands the same thing the same way so I take the time to listen/understand them as a person and as a musician. While it would be wonderful if all of my students became virtuosi musicians, I understand that sometimes math class may be at the forefront of their attention. That said, practice is still required. Like a doctor, I prescribe solutions to students to help them achieve their goals and will do everything I can to help them to succeed but if they dont take the remedy, success is can be quite slow. After some time, I know your voice better to lead you to a legit yet powerful sound or work with you on genre-specific details. I find that their methods for both kids and adults not only covers the basic fundamentals of music, but they are also able to make everything comprehensive and enjoyable. For guitar, I like to use Hal Leonard's basic guitar book for students focusing on popular music and basic guitar, and for classical guitar I like to use the Christopher Parkening Method. Read More
