Hello! I am a current DMA student studying Saxophone Performance at the University of Alabama, and have plenty of experience teaching saxophone (about 10 years!). Recently one of my students was selected for Red Band at this year's All-State Band Festival. I have seven years of teaching experience from beginners to advanced high school students. My teaching career began in 2015 as a teacher for The Joseph and Anthony Manzi Foundation Summer Band Camp. This camp was where I discovered my love for teaching. In the following years, I gained experience teaching private lessons in both my home studio and students’ homes. My first objective when meeting any new student is to figure out what their strengths and weaknesses are, and what their overall goal in music is; whether it’s learning a new piece, playing jazz, playing for fun, getting first chair or making it into an ensemble. Being a classically trained trumpet player, I have come across nearly every issue and technical exercise imaginable. A soloist on Public radio and TV in Boston, San Francisco, in Connecticut, in Carnegie Hall, and as a Connecticut Commission on the Arts Touring Artist, Ive sung jazz, broadway, and on concert series throughout the Northeast and has an AGMA chorister/soloist at Connecticut Opera for 6 seasons and Stage hand for the Met Boston and Boston Opera.
