Instruments: Piano, Voice, Orchestral Percussion, Music, Keyboard

Ive been told I am a very encouraging teacher. My goal is to teach the student something new in every class. Lessons can focus on technique, performance, sight reading / singing, ear training, music history, music theory, composition, improvisation, fakebooks and more. Piano lessons can cover everything from how to sit at the piano to using rotational movements to get accuracy in large leaps. I focus on musicality. A student does have to be Lang Lang to sound beautiful. Read More

I first started teaching after I went good around middle school. Instruments: Piano, Violin, Viola, Electric Violin, Fiddle, Music, Keyboard, Classical Guitar

With young beginner string students, I typically will start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. After a few weeks of that, the student will have grasped the fundamentals. and then I will introduce the Suzuki method, supplementing with the O'Connor Method. For piano I generally will start with the Suzuki method and supplement with any songs the student is interested in learning. For Adults I try to find out what style of music the student is interested in, and how much experience they have and structure my lessons accordingly to keep the student engaged and ensure they are having fun! Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Bass Guitar, Synthesizer, Music, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I truly believe in giving my students the freedom to select the songs and/or genres they like and that's because I believe passion is an integral aspect of learning. Read More
