As in music, teaching and the learning process has in each person their own rhythm, their own goals, their own methods and I am always ready to take into account that each student is a different world. The important thing for any student is the attitude and it is very important for us their guides to awaken a good attitude to learn from the students to make it easier to find and enliven that love, taste and passion for music and By the instrument they are going to learn. I'm always encouraging and pushing my students to practice more on a daily basis and make them aware that practice and going over the lessons over and over makes them better every day. I'm always also pushing and motivating them to learn more and practice more. The more they practice each lesson the better they become and the more they would have control of the instrument. Always motivating my students to push forward and practice in class as I monitor their own progress and guide them to practice on their own at least one hour to two hours daily. Read More

My first venture with popular music was in 1986 playing vibraphone with SinTrans, a jazz group founded at the Conservatory Amadeo Roldn. SinTrans got to perform at the International Jazz Festival in Havana in 1987 and 1988. In 1993 I moved to Stockholm, Sweden where I developed my professional career as a musician, performing and recording with many of the most prominent artists and acts in Sweden: Nordman, Bo Kaspers Orkester, Bebo Valds, Lill Lindfors, Peter Jback, Carola, Blacknuss All Stars, Stockholm Folk Big Band, Jonas Knutsson, Magnus Lindgren Radiojazzgruppen, Janne Tolf and Mats Holmkvists Big Band to name a few. I toured all around Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, France and other European countries, covering various genres like Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Fusion, Folklore, Salsa, Latin Jazz and much more. I like to use a seldom known method book which I recently found online, it has been the best method I ever used. I have used it in group lessons as I was working in FIU music preparatory program, the students learned to read both clefts really well and quick, understanding rhythm and sight reading occurred with no hassle! Seeing my students develop a passion for music is very rewarding. Each student progresses to their own pace; no rush whatsoever. Setting goals that they can achieve will encourage them to progress on track. Acknowledging their accomplishments will keep their desire to continue learning more. I recommend that when they practice, to have them play it for an audience, like family or friends. That way they can be comfortable playing for others because when they are put into recitals, Student Day, the National Guild of Piano Teachers, etc. they'll be able to play at ease, and at the same time, enjoy it too. Depending on the instrument I’m teaching and the skill level of the student I’m usually going to start of with a 10 to 15 minute session of evaluation and assessment of needs acquired skills and students desires .we can then begin with exercising proper warm up posture and position .and run through warm up scales and learn rutiments or attack the desired skill requirements straight ahead depending on the students development.Music is an art and a discipline.it is a relationship one has with there instrument.my songs and instruments become like family ,well charrished!!!!
