For beginner piano students, I have two methods books that I use. For young children, I use the Bastion Piano Basics series. It is colorful, fun, and exciting for young learners. It is also very informative, so parents can help their young ones practice if they need the help! For beginners, I usually begin with the Faber Piano method, or the Full Voice voice method. On the intermediate level, it is important to explore a variety of musical styles so that the student is being exposed to diverse approaches. For advancing students who have mastered the fundamentals of their field, I enjoy choosing repertoire with the students that is challenging and exciting for them. For Classical Guitar I use Segovia Scales, Carulli Preludes, Sagreras, Guiliani Right Hand Studies, my own material from my book and some great compilation books to span the various genres of Classical Music to include the Renaissance Period, Baroque Period and Classic Period.
