The way I approach teaching percussion is starting with an introduction and working through along the way. I usually teach in a way that allows the student to be able to perform freely. At first, I work with them and show them how to play a certain rhythm and then I allow them to play it on their own. I have played in community orchestras in Broward County such as the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra, Florida Youth Orchestra, and All-County Silver Gold Broward Orchestras for 5 years. From 2015-2016, I attended Coral Glades High School, where I became the youngest concertmaster in the orchestra as a freshman, and started teaching orchestra students as a freshman.
