For my singers, I go by the music I have currently in my library that fits their voice type and genre and then move on. If they are percussionists I want an idea of where they are and what they are looking to accomplish. I have a variety of reps and books to use for them. For beginning students I make sure we know every warm up exercise and stretching exercises for the fingers after explaining the importance of rehearsing properly. We will start getting familiarized with a couple circles until the student fluently knows how to accompany every chord. After we are going to learn scales so they also familiarized with licks and comp. After finding out the skill level and goals that the student has, we can get to know the instrument that we are learning more in depth. We learn the anatomy of the instrument and how to hold and play it. We will then take on learning how to play the instrument comfortably along with me, along with recorded tracks, and along with other musicians. I began performing solo and touring around Europe with a Jazz-Funk band, The Freeks. At the same time I began studying at the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Lodz, Poland to finally move to Miami and graduate from Florida International Univeristy with BA in Music. I performed for Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line for 5 years, which included teaching piano classes for the Royal Caribbean Academy. I started Piano lessons at 6 and quickly received classical training to 12 years old. I have been playing professionally since 14 years old. I have enjoyed a freelance career as a music teacher, composer. performer, recording engineer. producer, and a multi instrumentalist. While being exposed to the intricacies of many styles of music growing up, I have developed a life long passion for studying those different genres.
