I have used a variety of books with my students, but generally start students with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. I use a mix of books (note reading), ear training, and musical games (depending on age) in lessons. I like to offer students a variety of learning styles, in order to find the one that best suits them. I began teaching flute lessons in 1996.  Since then I have taught lessons in Voice, Flute, and Piano at 2 different local performing arts schools as well as several private lessons outside of the school.  I have been involved in teaching students the beauty of music for over a decade.  I also have several years of stage performance.  I have performed in college and with the Pensacola Opera in several operas and musicals including: Aida, The Magic Flute, The Barber of Seville, The Marriage of Figaro, La Boheme, La Traviata, L'elisir d'amore,  Pirates of Penzance, Ruddigore, etc. Read More

Trombone became my minor instrument and expand my playing to orchestras and Jazz ensembles. I college I tried out for my first show as a performer on stage and have been doing ever since and continue to this day. I love the spotlights. I am an eager college student at Pensacola, Florida that us currently working on becoming a band director. Even though I don't have a degree in music, I still have the capability to be a great percussion teacher. In May 2021, I graduated from Avon Park High School.
