My teaching style focuses on each student as an individual. I do not believe in making the student look or play exactly like me in terms of technique or style. I am kind, energetic, and engaging, but I can also be strict if it is required in order to meet the student's goals. I like to make learning and lessons exciting because it keeps the student engaged and inspired. My teaching experience began when I was in high school! I had a studio of 14 students whom I loved working with! Immediately following my college graduation, I acquired a job teaching 15-20 students a week at a private school nearby. I fell in love with the students I was blessed to teach in both private and group lessons. My emphasis is on performance and motivating the student. I set goals for performance at the early stages of study whether it's for family and friends or at an open mic or in church. Without performance as a goal it's hard to motivate the student to practice. I analyze each student's individual learning style whether it's visual or auditory and find ways to help them learn faster and securely. My experience spans 20 years, from Miami to LA. I have played music with, and recorded with, Grammy Award winning artists. I have been a performing musician since High School and have played 1000's of gigs. I have produced 100's of songs for dozens of recording artists as well as having written music for Sony and Warner Brothers.
