Overview:
Greetings: I'm Michael. I've been a music educator at various levels of study. Infants /toddlers through professional adults. I'm the author and publisher of MrMikesMusicMats, Boom Boom the Bass Drum, Quadragrip and the Tommy Thomas Percussion Library. I've performed as a working professional in every kind of genre. I've been a staff musician at Walt Disney World / EPCOT, Principle Percussionist - Brevard Symphony Orchestra and recorded and collaborated with the greatest musicians in the world. Jazz/Blues/Rock/Gospel and more. I've produce hundreds of hours of music for CD, LP, Radio, TV and more.
EXPERIENCE
I became a professional musician at the age of 16. I've traveled around the world and parts of the US. I started playing Rock and Roll music until I was 25. At that time I decided to get a formal music training with piano and theory. I auditioned and received scholarships in music to Seminole Community College and University of Central Florida. Upon graduation I became a staff musician at Walt Disney World. I also became a recording musician and performed in Orchestras. As a Jazz/Blues/Rock musician, I've released numerous recording under my own label.
METHODS USED
My curriculum is created to fit your need. As I teach "music" and the instrument, I can provide printed material that will help you in your goal. I've authored a curriculum that teaches early music theory. Mozart was composing at the age of three. Not everyone will become a professional music or composer. My experience gives me the insight to offer the tools you need, for your music learning experience. As a "drumset" "percussion" teacher. I'll use The Tommy Thomas Percussion Library (334) pages of lessons.

Music should be an enjoyable experience. I value each individuals skill level and their goal. Music is a language that can be learned and appreciated at any age.
