I teach my students to use their ears to guide them through learning. I give them the ability to experiment and work outside the box. In my experience, this has lead to far greater musicianship rather than strictly focusing on sheet music. On the other hand, music theory plays a role as well. I teach music theory in regards to approaching the guitar. Once the student has understanding of this approach they will realize they will be able to apply this not only to guitar but too many other instruments and songwriting as well. Read More

My style is simple, friendly, no pressure and relational. I love to teach guitar. Again, if this isn't fun, you won't stick with it. If any instrument should be fun, it should be the guitar. All those guys on TV always look like they're having a blast. But before they got behind the camera, they put in a lot of practice time. So I'm going to reveal the big secret to becoming a good (or great) guitarist right here - for free. Read More
