I use the Suzuki method for strings. I was classically trained in this method. I find that this method is an excellent way for beginners to gain basic technique and learn at their own pace. It is also great for intermediate students as the transition into this method does not take long once I have evaluated the student's skill level. The most important part of what I teach is to HAVE FUN! Read More

In voice, you must think as an instrument and as a person as well. Every person is different, so the method. There are extroverted and shy persons. I am always respectful and patient with my student's pace and personality. Everyone is different, so I put a lot of effort to take out the very best from my students. If I cannot help, I am very honest to tell you to change professor. Read More

At the very beginning level I would start with fundamentals from whatever book I feel would be best for the student depending on their age and knowledge. Beforehand I definitely will need to asses their knowledge so I can do so accordingly. I however will now focus on solely fundamentals and will try to include in songs that the student would like to learn as long as it is in the bounds of reality, the lessons I provide are only part of the equation and the real work is what is put in after the lesson. I am not a teacher who uses specific method books. I use books based on the student's musical preferences or sometimes none at all. A good technique is always emphasized. My area of expertise is Sight Reading. This is an essential aspect of learning to play any instrument. A good sight reader is always able to learn their pieces faster and be better performers. A typical 'first lessons' for beginners is the exploration of the instrument, its tonal qualities, how the instrument works, and the creation of their own music on the instrument. Read More

I am the best when the student has accomplished and satisfied the lesson's requirements. We can expound on the de tails but if they are not prepared, we will review the previous lesson so they don't miss the value of that lesson. My teaching style can best be described in a sentence: New concepts, new fingering, new harmony, new rhythm, new literature when first you find the letters from Piano Music then unscrambled these single letters until you can spell PIANO MUSIC which is a gift for all ages. David does not use a "cookie-cutter" method because each and every student has different innate abilities as well as different musical goals. A teaching method must consider the student's time outside of his or her lesson to be effective. David listens to each student with great care to devise a plan which promotes musicality through inspiration. Conveying large amounts of information, even of the highest quality, is of little value if the student is not motivated to use what he or she has learned to create music. Read More
