I typically use the Faber Books for piano, Hal Leonard for guitar and ukulele, and I work in sight-reading with my voice students. I always try to ask the student what the scene of a movie would be if they are playing the soundtrack, and get them to convey that when they play. I started teaching privately in 2004, and have been doing so in either my own studio or in the studios of others ever since.. In 2013, I started contracting with the Anaheim City School District to teach string classes in their after-school music program. Since moving to Texas, I have started orchestra programs at two different schools in Dallas county, while continuing to build my own studio. I taught students in a wide variety of musical styles and skill levels. I was also able to sing in two professional choirs from 2010-2019.
