Immediately following my college graduation, I acquired a job teaching 15-20 students a week at a private school nearby. I fell in love with the students I was blessed to teach in both private and group lessons. When I first start working with my voice students I like to learn where you are at, with any previous vocal training, what techniques you may or may not know, and where you are at musically with sight reading and theory. It is really important to have the fundamentals down in order to have a strong base to grow from and add musicality and stylization. My teaching experience dates back to when I was a Junior in high school. I began teaching some group guitar classes and violin lessons. I believe that it's important to instill a love for music as that is what will keep the student practicing throughout the years. I am certified to teach the O'Connor method.
