I am kind, energetic, and engaging, but I can also be strict if it is required in order to meet the student's goals. I will be available to answer any questions you might have, and I will make sure that you start out with the correct mouth shape, or "embouchure". This is critical to establish and get right at first, so I will make sure you start playing correctly, with correct hand placements, and such. All students will begin with an assessment of their current skills and a short discussion about their musical goals. This will gauge the trajectory of the lessons. Beginning students will start with basic stick technique, counting exercises, and rudimentary drum set beats. Lessons remain fun and engaging with the use of tailor made Drumless Playalong Tracks. I graduated from the Puerto Rico Music Conservatory with a bachelor in trombone performance. Working as a trombonist with the Navy band Southeast, I'm constantly performing in different ceremonies and teaching masterclasses around the Southeast area of the US, including Puerto Rico.
