I started playing piano at age 5 and finished a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Piano Pedagogy from Saint Louis University. My 16 years of classical training helped me attain a teaching position at the Yamaha School of Music in the Philippines and a rewarding teaching career at the Florida Conservatory of Music in Jacksonville, Florida. I took seven years of piano lessons in grade school and graduated from Florida State College with an Associate of Arts in Music degree. I also played piano in the Charlton County High School Jazz Ensemble and at the United Methodist Church. Most of my students are playing the flute or piano for an extracurricular/hobby activity. Therefore, I do not want any student to view lessons as work. Above all else, lessons should be fun! I want to challenge my students but never overwhelm them. I work with students at their own pace and try to make the environment as fun and as laid-back as I can. I love playing alongside my students so they are not always playing alone because sometimes playing by yourself in front of a teacher can be stressful. Read More

I'm a passionate instructor who loves to share my love of music and discover all the possibilities that a student can have with the instrument. I graduated from the Puerto Rico Music Conservatory with a bachelor in trombone performance. Working as a trombonist with the Navy band Southeast, I'm constantly performing in different ceremonies and teaching masterclasses around the Southeast area of the US, including Puerto Rico. As a soloist and freelance musician I'm very active in the Jacksonville scene, not only playing classical music, but also latin music and popular music; with Symphony Orchestras and other small and large ensembles.
