In my college years as a Music Performance major, I was frequently involved in musical performances such as, masterclasses, ensembles, solo, and orchestra that have all contributed to my knowledge of teaching. I began teaching five years ago with a diverse studio that covered everything from musical theatre to hip hop. I currently teach at a music studio here in Jacksonville, where I have a large studio of private students as well as group music classes for elementary and preschool aged children. I emphasize exploration and curiosity and encourage my students to explore multiple genres of music. Greetings, my name is Brett. I've had a passion for the intricacies of rhythm since I was a boy. As a teen, I began playing drums and progressed at a highly advanced rate. My teachers would assign one page out of a book for the weekly lessons. I'd learn the entire book that same evening. It wasn't long before I attended the FUI Studio Jazz and Performance program.
